Edward's stomach continued to grumble as he gestured to the table that was slightly away from the commotion. He realized that he didn't know much about Ellyllon's back story, so he decided to quiz her upon his return. Before he went over to the banquet tables, he couldn't help but notice her blush at the flower he had given her. "No need to fluster, Miss Ellyllon...." Again, her innocence shone through by her simple, girlish mannerisms and he couldn't help but chuckle. She seemed a bit infatuated still, but he knew she would get over it. Edward then walked off in the vague direction of food.
Edward leaves the area.
Edward enters the area.
Edward returned with two plates of cake balanced precariously on one arm and held two glasses of punch in each hand. The cake was some sort of vanilla adorned with strawberries and whipped cream, made with pink fondant and garnished with chocolate sprinkles. It looked delectable. Edward, out of hunger had cut himself a sizeable slice, and not wanting to be rude also cut Ellyllon one of the same size.
"Sorry I took a few minutes longer that I should have," Ed set the plate down in front of Ellyllon, then set down her punch and took his seat, fork in hand, waiting for her to take the first bite. "There was someone laying near the table and it was hard to access." He groaned audibly. "It's a shame we have people falling all over themselves and putting others at a disadvantage." Edward snorted, then looked at Ellyllon. "I hope you can understand."

"Is it the crowds that you aren't used to or is it the festivities? They are both really overwhelming." She scanned the crowd again, but didn't notice Froid yet.
"I'm not used to anything like this either. The crowd doesn't bother me too much, but I feel a bit out of place."
She paled. For a moment, a brief moment, she thought she saw a ghost on the dance floor. Except this wasn't a ghost. She knew exactly who it was. It was her sister. Her sister was out on the floor after all. Veronica was crashing the party.
She needed to get out there and confirm this. And maybe, if she started dancing, it would force her sister to hide. Besides, she really wanted to be moving right now while she was waiting for Froid to get here.
"I'm sorry, I don't mean to be so distracted. I'm expecting a friend to show up and she isn't her yet. I'm going to go check at the door. I'll be right back."
Violet has left the room.

Veronica enters the area.
Veronica had been making her way through the ballroom, looking for a place to go. The balcony seemed like a good idea, but she hadn't quite made it that far yet. She entered near the tables and noticed her roommate and Ed talking. She gave them a polite wave and found a seat with a girl sitting at it.
She took a seat next to Ageha at the table. "Hello there, you look lonely all by yourself. I thought I might join you. Are you enjoying the ball today?"

-Rowan- enters the area
Her feet were hurting about so it really was best to sit down. She made her was over to the tables, dodging people as she went. Her head spun like an owl's as she searched for a familiar face. She thought she saw Veronica and Ageha, but they were too far away to tell. Wait? Were there two of them? Her eyes must be playing tricks. She turned away and sighed, sitting down at an empty table and watched the festivites grow, spreading out her petticoats into graceful fan shape. She smiled at the people who were having fun dancing. She wished to join them but she didn't have anyone to dance with, the blond man's face crossed her mind and she dismissed it as a blush crept to her face.
She tapped her foot to the music as the night grew on.

Edward noticed Ellyllon's beaming face and excitement at the cake. Who wouldn't be excited? It was, after all, the most beautiful cake he had seen at Mille-Feuille. Not that he had seen many, but still, it was neat. He noticed her also waiting to eat. He stuck a silver fork into his cake, and lifted his gaze to Ellyllon. "We may as well start eating, no?" It may have been slightly impolite, but he couldn't wait any longer.
He stuck the cake-laden fork into his mouth, and savoured a vanilla, yet slightly strawberry taste. The fondant melted easily on his tongue, and the chocolate added a few sparks of flavour. He almost moaned in contentment. His eyes grazed over the cake, taking in its splendour, it's beautiful rosey hue. The beautiful white dent he made in it with his fork screamed in its innocent, unblemished glory. Edward trembled slightly in awe. The strawberry that topped the cake, he now noticed, had been dipped in chocolate and rested on a bed of whipped cream, and looked akin to someone resting their sleepy head upon a pillow. He wanted to hug it, to cherish it, the cake which embodied everything he found beautiful in the world.
Ed had a few weak spots: socks, gloves, pretty people and cake.
Edward swallowed a couple bites, and placed his fork down. "Ah, I know. Horribly impolite, I heard some of the teachers talking, she must have been there for hours!" Edward emphasized his point with a grandiose swing of the hands. "I haven't the faintest idea what was wrong, and I wasn't going to stay to find out. Everyone already looked quite angry and inconvenienced by it." Edward held a hand to his mouth and chuckled. "I am surprised the groundskeeper hasn't disposed of her yet."
"Anyway," he uncovered his mouth, "I am staying here at Mille-Feuille. My family is back in France, and the plane ride is just too much effort." He smiled at Ellyllon. "There are many people here I have yet to meet as well. I hope that I will get a chance to meet some over the break, as well as further friendships with those around me." He took this opportunity to produce a small wink. "Like now! Are you staying, Miss Ellyllon?"

Edward's attention had returned to the cake. He gingerly took a few more bites, then spoke. "Ah, yes! I love France, the architecture, art, culture, people...I couldn't imagine living anywhere else!" Edward's smile almost wavered at the mention of his father, but he caught himself just in time. "I am sure they will miss me...but they are able to keep themselves amused well enough, or at least I would like to think so." Edward paused a little, his eyes darting to the ceiling in thought for a brief moment before returning to the girl in front of him.
Ellyllon's face fell, and Edward noticed. "You seem a tad hesitant, Miss Ellyllon..." Edward took a few more bites of cake. "Is there something amiss in your life?" He looked concerned. "However, I am glad you are also staying. I will be sure to grab you a present, then..." Edward smiled, and couldn't help but adjust his cuffs absentmindedly. "Even if you do decide to go away, I will send it to you, or it can wait. " He may as well put that offer on the table.

Ageha gave a slight laugh, "I guess it would be a little of both. We have festivities this time of year back home, but on a much smaller scale. So something such as this is..." Ageha searched for the right word, "...different."
The girl nodded at her response and then looked around the room, again as she was searching for someone. Obviously not seeing who she was looking for, she excused herself from the table to broaden her perspective.
Ageha sat alone and observed the dancers and other groups of people enjoying the ball. There was some commotion near the banquet table, but Ageha hadn't thought to investigate. Her usual curiosity was nowhere to be seen; feeling so out of place at the party, she supposed she really just wasn't feeling herself.
A new person approached her, and greeted her kindly. Another girl Ageha didn't know, but she seemed very friendly.
"Hello," Ageha said with a bright smile. "Everything is quite lovely. Although, I'm...still getting used to such extravagance. I've never been to such a large event before." she admitted sheepishly. "But I'm glad I did not miss it. How about yourself?"
