height , 4' 9"
weight , 92 pounds
tattoos and piercings , Ear piercings, but nothing else.
best feature , Ellyllon's hair is her most distinguishable feature, as it reaches down below her hips. She has let it grow since she was seven, when she had cut her hair to her shoulders. It is so long she can sit on it.
general , Ellyllon looks much younger than she actually is. Usually, it is assumed she is around 13 or 14. She has always been small and young looking, and doubts this will change.
She has a round, sweet face, with soft skin the hue of pinkish porcelain. It is still filled out as a child's might be, lacking sharp features. A sprinkling of beige freckles plays upon her nose and atop her cheeks, blending into a soft, pink blush that permanently colors her cheeks. Her eyebrows are full and slightly undefined, and give a slightly boyish touch to her feminine face. She feels a bit nervous about their "bushiness", but hates the feeling of waxing or plucking.
Ellyllon's hair is the color of sun-bleached wheat, a soft blond mane that falls to her hips. It is naturally straight as a pin, and usually in a long, swinging braid beneath a pretty sunhat. Ellyllon's mouth is a sweet, small bulb, her lips rounded and pink.
Her smile is relaxed and fulfilling; the sweet smile of a young woman. Her eyes are a deep pool of boiling mercury, always awake, bright, and intrigued. The small frame of her body is blemished with freckles from past days at the beach, and there are scars on her shoulders from angry burns she acquired years ago.
Ellyllon enjoys wearing Classic Lolita. She wears a very mature, old school style of classic, with some soft sweet influences. Her favorite brand is Innocent World.
playby , Dakota Fanning

strengths , She is very smart, and extremely friendly when someone strikes up a conversation with her. She has an easy laugh and a vivid imagination.
weaknesses , Ellyllon is very shy and anxious, and has a hard time making friends. She often does not have the confidence to approach people.
fears , becoming like her mother, being forever alone, eternal loss.
quirks , She bites her nails and has to organize change (coins) into specific groups according to color and size whenever she sees it.
secrets , She's never had a boyfriend, and secretly has had a few crushes on boys but has never been confident enough to talk to them.
how , how did your character find out about their current fashion style? what does it mean to them? She became a lolita to express her femininity, which was strange for her, seeing as most of her life she had been a tomboy; an explorer and an adventurer, not a maiden or a princess.
When she discovered lolita, she was interested in the feminine parts of the clothing and mannerisms, but also the fact that it was a very modest fashion that wouldn't show a lot of skin. Since Ellyllon was shy, especially about showing her body, it attracted her immediately. Lolita was beautiful, graceful and doll-like to her, and that's how she wanted people to perceive her. She thought that it emphasized some of the most beautiful aspects of a woman's body. She has a baby-face and a petite frame, and instead of trying to fight it and look like a boy, she embraced the fact that she could be both pretty and small. Classic lolita was a way for Ellyllon to be beautiful and doll-like, but also mature enough to be perceived as graceful and to make her childish body seem older.
general , Ellyllon is a very bright individual. She has a curious mind, but often finds a cat has got her tongue, and rarely shares her thoughts. She is very shy and quiet. She almost never talks unless someone speaks to her first, but she is never rude when replying to them. She is very inter-personal and while she has a fair amount of acquaintances, she has very few friends. Not because she isn't friendly, for she is; she simply finds it difficult to open up to others. She would often seek refuge in nature, in the ditches or greenbelts by her house, or in parks around her school, and play on her own. She would often make up stories about her adventures, and she still has a very active imagination today.
She loves to read and almost always has a book with her. Ellyllon writes often, poetry and prose, but does not show her work to many people. She is very shy, but normal, with a brave heart. She doesn't mind being alone most of the time; she has become accustomed to solitude, and enjoys it.

hometown , Liverpool
family , Mary Arthur - mother - 36 - in a persistent vegetative state
Daniel Arthur - father - 39
pets , She has a lot of fish at her house, and tries to get her mom involved with taking care of them. It is mostly the nurse that feeds the fish, but Ellyllon hopes that her mother enjoys looking at them when they are together.
best memory , Learning to play piano, her mother as her teacher, one summery, bright afternoon. They were eating strawberries and she was practicing Für Elise.
worst memory , Seeing her mother that first time in a hospital, with so many machines hooked up to her. Her mother's eyes were two bottomless holes that showed no emotion and no recognition. This was the moment when she knew she had lost her mother.
history , Ellyllon was born in January of 1993 in Liverpool, England, to Mary Tyler Arthur and Daniel Robert Arthur. At the time, they were a relatively poor newlywed couple, who had gotten married when they first discovered Mary was pregnant. At the time of Ellyllon's birth, Daniel was an aspiring businessmen and inventor, and Mary worked at an all-night diner as a full-time waitress.
Sometimes over the years as Ellyllon grew, it was hard to make ends meet. She never really noticed this, though. She was an adventurous kind of girl, and it didn't matter that she lived in a small flat or that she wore old clothes.
At seven, her mother was pregnant again, and everyone was excited. Mary and Daniel had been fighting badly earlier in the year, but this new and unexpected bundle of joy gave them new hope.
However, late in July, Mary had a miscarriage. After this, Mary became very reclusive and hollow. She would often keep to her room for days at a time, and would not do any household chores. Daniel and Ellyllon were worried; Ellyllon was more confused than anything, but she didn't understand her mother's depression until years later.
A few days before Ellyllon started school again, Mary started coming around. She began to smile, to move, to sing again. Daniel was delighted, but weary; he did not want to lose Mary like this ever again.
Mary got Ellyllon a new hair cut for the school year, a cute bob. Ellyllon hated this haircut, and since then, Ellyllon has grown her hair out. It now rests at about her hips.
Mary got a new job, but only worked part time in order to spend more time with her husband and daughter. She drove Ellyllon to school and back everyday, and sometimes would walk her home, where a peanut butter and jelly sandwich always waited for. Ellyllon didn't mind this potential social embarrassment; she enjoyed time with her mother, almost as much as she enjoyed adventuring in forests, greenbelts and parks around her house.
Also during this time, Mary decided it was time Ellyllon learned about how to be a proper young lady. Mary went to Mille-feuille Academy as a girl, and knew that Ellyllon would never be able to go there because of Mary and Daniel's lack of funds. She then taught Ellyllon the lessons she had learned there; about etiquette, dancing, literature, sewing, and most of all piano. Ellyllon's mother discovered how bright her daughter was during this time, and it was through these lessons that they grew close.
Ellyllon would go to the library at this time every day, sometimes twice a day in the summer, to check out book after book on history, historical fashion, romance and adventure. When Ellyllon was nine, her father's business efforts finally paid off. His idea to improve the efficiency of the machines which recycled most plastics got him involved in his own business, where, as CEO, he made quite a bit of money.
The Arthur family moved to a bigger home, and Mary quit her job. She was very excited at the prospect of her daughter being able to enter the prestigious school of her own youth, and sent for many tutors and directors to prepare Ellyllon for Mille-feuillle Academy while she also attended regular elementary school. Ellyllon learned French, German, piano, history and mathematics. Mary herself tried to teach Ellyllon painting, but with disastrous results. Ellyllon was very overwhelmed by all of this. She became rather reclusive and often left her large, new, strange home for familiar green places. She would read and write often, but her parents disliked this rebellion because they worried about her being gone all of the time. She eventually got used to her new house, and would find places in the garden or in her room to explore new things.
When Ellyllon was 12 and beginning junior high, Mary was involved in an accident. She was in a car with a man, that neither Daniel nor Ellyllon knew, which careened off the road into a lake. The two were romantically involved. The man was killed immediately, but Mary suffered permanent brain damage and was in a coma for 2 months after.
Daniel felt ruined. He was lonely and betrayed, and resented Mary for her careless affair. Ellyllon missed her mother more than anything.
When Mary came out of her coma, she couldn't function properly. Mary had suffered extreme brain damage and would probably never recover. She no longer had control of her motor functions; she had to have everything done for her. The Mary that Ellyllon and Daniel knew was gone, replaced by a child who could not feed them self nor go to the bathroom without help. They felt burdened by Mary's condition, but their love for her prevailed and they never failed to make sure she was at content as she could be.
Ellyllon adjusted well at school during this time and made a few friends, but she suffered at the thought of the mother she lost. Daniel had hired a nurse to take care of Mary when he was gone during the day, and Ellyllon helped out this young woman whenever she was home.
Junior high passed like this, with Mary being the center of Daniel and Ellyllon's lives. For the last few weeks of her summer after 8th grade, Ellyllon cared for her mother exclusively. She was fourteen at this time, and preparing to leave for a boarding school in the fall, as per her mother's wishes. Her tutors worked her relentlessly, making sure she was ready for Mille-feuille Academy.
There was another nurse assigned to Mary, but Ellyllon did not get a chance to know her very well, because she was sent to live at Mille-feuille Academy soon after. She has been there for three years since then.
When Ellyllon came home during the summer holiday, Daniel would often come home from work earlier to spend more time as a family with Ellyllon and Mary. Ellyllon observed that Mary's condition probably affected Daniel more than it affected her, and she felt sorry for her father. She still wishes she could feel that amount of love for another person.we'rethepartyyou'rethepeople.
( let'smakethisnightaclassic! )password? , here comes the sun, doo da doo doo
sample post , Her room was filled with a soft, titanium white light. Snow gleamed on the windowsill like millions of fluffy diamonds, each one reflecting the sunlight from above in varying levels of brilliance. There was a piercing cold outside that tried to penetrate through the window with a feisty claw, but the room remained filled with a gentle warmth. Under a comforter decorated with sweet spring flowers, a girl slept peacefully, completely unaware of the light, the cold and the snow on the windowsill outside.
She awoke suddenly, her eyes popping open like silent firecrackers, the last remnants of a dream still dissipating from her misty eyes. Her gray blue orbs peeked around, observing the soft eggshell celing and the creamy white walls which enclosed her. Ellyllon gave a wide yawn and sat up, her hair sweeping over her, a glossy curtain of honey and wheat that cascaded over her small frame with a whoosh. It fell to her hips, pin straight but slightly ruffled from sleep.
A shiver ran through Ellyllon's bones as the heat of sleep left her, a brittle cold now seeping beneath her thin undershirt. With minor difficulty, owing to the fact that her body was still asleep, she swept her hair back and got out of bed. Her knees creaked a little and her elbow snapped. Ah, getting old... she mused in her thoughts. If you could call seventeen "old". Trembling slightly, warming her porcelain upper arms with small hands, she traveled to the bathroom, careful to tread lightly as to not wake the girls in the dorm with her.
After getting ready, she moved to the dressing room connected to the dorm she shared with other girls. Going to her closet, she picked out a coordinate for today and dressed. In frilly garments of deep brown, bright white and hints of red, Ellyllon brushed her hair back and tied it in a long plait which hung down her back like a golden snake. After one last check in the mirror, Ellyllon left the dressing room and the dormitory, careful to close the door silently, as though she was leaving the room where an ill friend lay upon their death bed.
It was early Sunday morning, and the hallways were lazy and quiet. Not being one who carried a watch, Ellyllon wondered what time it was. She guessed it was most likely very early judging from the emptiness of the halls. Her shoes made loud clippity-clop sounds on the hard tile of the floor as she walked through the corridors, heading upstairs for no reason in particular.
Without warning, Ellylllon turned to a window in the hall. She walked toward it almost in a trance, and barely noticed the cold stone of the granite wall as her small hands gripped the edge of the window before her. She peered down with mercury eyes, the blanket of snow outside entrancing her. The gardens, the lawns, and even Lake Caspian had been obliterated by an unmerciful icy hand.
She stared at the lake for a while, her eyes becoming slightly glossy as her thoughts took over.
Ellyllon remembered her mother telling her a story about swimming in the lake when she was a girl in this school. The headmistress gave Ellyllon's mother and her friends detention for not asking permission to go into the lake, but her mother said that it was worth it. Ellyllon smiled at the thought of her mother laughing, splashing in the warm sun with her girl friends. Ellyllon knew that her mother would never swim again; nor would she ever recall telling Ellyllon this story, let alone remember the incident at all.
Though her eyes had misted over, Ellyllon's small smile grew wider. It was a nice story, despite the fact that her mother would not be able to tell it again.
Her stomach rumbled, almost inappropriately. Looking down, Ellyllon thought it might be good to get something to eat in the dining hall. She took a step away from the window, and promptly fell flat on her face. Her body dropped with a resounding crash; she landed on one knee and both hands, her bag scattering across the floor along with her parasol. As she fell, she felt her wrist snap.
"Oh, dear," She muttered, rolling over and cradling her knee. Her left wrist knew a horrible stabbing pain, and she felt a bruise forming on her right knee. With a grimace, she thought of the Hospital Office, one floor up...andthat'swhatmakesmylifesofuckingfantastic.
