Note: This letter is sent by the mail system to Caitlyn and arrives on fancy stationary.
Dear Caitlyn,
I apologize for my long absence from the school. I was forced to withdraw from the school for rather complicated reasons. I am back now and would very much like to uphold my promise to you. When we had our conversation at the school's speed date, we had discussed getting together, just the two of us.
At this point in time, I would not be surprised if you hate me. If you do, I understand and I don't blame you. If you do not hate me and are still willing to get together, feel free to come by my dorm or write me a letter letting me know your desire. I eagerly await your reply.
For our date, I can only imagine what you might have been preparing. So, if you are still interested in our meeting for a date, I will go. I ask you to think of a date, something that you want to do and I will go along with it, without question. In order to earn your full forgiveness, I have even prepared something special for the date.
Your Friend,
Viljo Erik Tawast

Dear Viljo,
Thank you for taking the time to write to me. Please, there is no need to apologize for your absence. I understand that sometimes things happen that are out of your control, so it's okay. All that matters is that you are here now and you are safe, or so I should hope!
Please don't think that I hate you. I would never for the world. Let's just put this past us now that you are here, for I am eager too for our date! What say you to a picnic by the shore of Lake Caspian? I have seen the glistening lake from the school windows and have yet to visit it. Perhaps the water will be nice this time of year. Maybe we can take a swim in the lake? I look forward to seeing you again!
Most Sincerely,
Caitlyn Emily Harrison
