Due to the site's relaunch, many people have been wondering if some aspects of the site will change. Ash and I have discussed some things and have decided to keep the site the way it was prior to this point in two areas:
1: Timeline
We have completely removed the timeline as it seemed to cause nothing but drama and confusion. You may timestamp and organize your threads in the Journal area as you wish but the staff is not responsible for any drama or issues that may arise from it.
2: Plot
A few of you have mentioned you'd like to see some sort of mystery or central plot.
The answer is, and always has been: No.
We are more than happy or organize events and we are very open to taking suggestions about them, but there will be absolutely no central plotline for MFA. The entire point of this RP was a sandbox, slice of life style that fit lolita aesthetics. This means there will be no central plot weaving through anything.
One of the main reasons we decided to refrain from having a central plot is to cut down on any instances of favouritism, as some characters may be more active in the plot than others and that could lead to some negative underlying feelings.
Prior to this point, I will say that nearly every character had some sort of mini plot going on, including but not limited to: Ludvig and Vivian's plot, and Junko and OJ's love plot. This is encouraged; everyone is free to create their own sub-plot within the community with their own characters. However, as it says in the rules, there is no central plot everyone must participate in.
You are all talented people and more than able to make up your own plot. You have all demonstrated your ability to do this and I am confident that your roleplaying skills have not drastically decreased since MFA's old decline. In fact, I'm sure you are all stronger than before. : )
I'm sorry if this comes across as harshly worded, but again, this has gotten to the point where we are beating this subject with a dead horse. I hope this clarifies any questions you may have, and please contact the staff if you have any further inquiries.
Again, we are ALWAYS open to suggestions about events, and I do like a mystery idea...keep your eyes open.
Thanks,
The Staff
