height , 5 foot, 1 inch.
weight , 110 lbs
tattoos and piercings , Ears pierced, would love to get a tiny bird tattoo, not that her parents know about that!
best feature , Her bright blue eyes that she got from her mother would probably be her best feature, constrasting starkly against her pale skin.
general , Jay's very blonde hair comes from her father's side but everything else, from her blue eyes to her small stature is very much thanks to her mother. She’s always had her hair styled in a bob due to practicality and it was how her mother liked her to have it as a child and so the style stuck. Sometimes she wishes she were a little taller but then she remembers that being little very much has its advantages, especially when you dress in lolita every day. She has a bad habit of chewing her nails right down to the quick (especially when nervous) and so tries to solve that problem by using fake nails. Unfortunately, they also get bitten and chewed on. Not lady-like at all but being a habit, it’s very hard to stop!
playby , Storm model

likes , Sunshine, crisp autumn days, sitting inside with a book whilst the rain hammers on her window, having her hair played with, dogs, singing and playing the piano, white wine, talking and asking questions, finding out about interesting things, magic.
dislikes , Extremes in temperatures, bad food, red wine, horse riding, restrictions on her freedom, animal abuse, hunting, needlework, bananas, the colour pink, RnB or drum and bass music.
strengths , Curious and eager to learn (though not naturally smart), Jay is a hard worker who will strive to achieve the best in everything she does.
weaknesses , This attempt to be good at everything though can cause her to become overly stressed and worried about the tiniest of things. She also has difficulties concentrating for long periods of time.
fears , Losing her voice or movement in her hands. The idea of not being able to be creative through music terrifies Jay to the point of nightmares. Jay also worries about her dog getting hurt or killed by illegal fox traps around her home and she is terrified of heights.
quirks , Smiles more with the left side of her face, has no problem falling asleep anywhere and everywhere, hates to be late for things.
secrets , Jay has recently comes to terms within herself that she is bisexual but has yet to come out to anyone about it. This is because she comes from a very conservative family and is unsure as to how they would react to the news.
how , Jay has always been attracted to things that are a little quirky and it has to be said that, whilst she wasn’t spoilt as a child, her parents have always treated her like their little princess. When she first came across lolita it was in its OTT sweet and sugary form which she found stupid and thought of it as a cry for attention. However, when she saw that the fashion could also be toned down and take on a far more elegant edge, Jay fell in love with everything about Lolita, eventually getting over her initial dislike of sweet style (and even being tempted by some of the dresses!).
general , An easy-going and happy person by nature, Jay takes time to enjoy the simple things in life. Nothing pleases her more than going out for a walk on a beautiful autumn day with her dog Addie and a bag packed with homemade bread and fresh apples. Some might say she is a little too whimsical and fancy-free but Jay would argue that she is merely trying to make the most of her free time in the most enjoyable way to her. Her mother has always taught her to respect and appreciate nature which is probably why she has a little bit of an activist inside her when it comes to animals and the planet!
Jay works very hard in almost any task she is given and is always trying to do her best, despite lacking any natural talent for anything except piano and singing. Taking after her mother and aunt’s, Jay lives and breathes music and loves anything and everything to do with it. She tried to learn the violin once but was stopped when she almost blinded her father in a demonstration after her first lesson as a little girl.

hometown , For the first few years of her life Jay lived with her family in her Father’s home town of Lyon in France but they soon moved and she has lived in the Lake District in the North of England ever since the age of four, moving from home to home.
family , Her mother and father are both still alive and well, Francois maintaining his small chain of restaurants with the aide of his wife Svetlana, a traditional Nordic beauty. She is an only child but doesn’t mind that as long as she has her dogs and people to be around.
pets , Two dogs, alsatians. Boal is actually the family guard dog and has been for quite a few years, whilst Addie is Jay’s companion whom she has had since he was a little puppy.
best memory , Waking up on her 11th birthday to a little puppy running into her room and promptly only her bed. He hasn’t moved much since.
worst memory , The first time they moved home and came to Britain, Jay felt incredibly lost. All of her friends had been left behind and she was in this new country with a new language. The first few weeks in her new school were terrifying, but she soon managed to muddle along as only young children know how.
history , Apart from moving house often, Jay hasn’t yet had much of a story to tell. Memories of her early childhood in Lyon are hazy, dependant on old photographs her mother keeps in pride of place on the mantelpiece of the sitting room. She vaguely remembers the little stream that ran beside the house and how one day she fell in whilst wearing the dress she was meant to keep clean for a special party that night. Her father had been angry but understanding as she stood in the kitchen soaked through and tearful and her mother had chuckled at how she looked like ‘a kitten left out in the rain’. Svetlana often brings the story up in casual conversation around the dinner table, embarrassing Jay dreadfully.
In Britain, Jay’s life has been as regular and as dreary as the rain. Besides the first few weeks after moving to their current area, there has been nothing of any particular interest for her. Jay attended an all girls grammar school and so there was little chance of finding a male love interest there and since her town is very conservative, her bisexuality has never been revealed. She did however make some wonderful friends, whom she will miss terribly whilst at the Academy.
Jay saw Mille-Feuille Academy advertising for the next academic year in the back of an opera programme and pestered her parents for a whole year before they finally agreed to have her transferred to the school. It was a combination of the prestige, the academia and the beautiful surroundings that made Jay fall in love with the Academy and as soon as she did more research into what the place entailed, she knew it was the right school for her. There is also a part of Jay that hopes that Mille-feuille Academy might spark a little magic and adventure into her life...

sample post ,
Jay had woken up gradually that morning, the rain driving desperately against the glass of her window coupled with the divine scents of what would soon be her breakfast gently lulling her out of her restless sleep which she was lucky to have gotten as it had been difficult to get any sort of sleep that night. The nerves in her stomach wound tightly against themselves as she pushed the covers from her body and wandered into the bathroom for a morning shower. She hoped that would both wake and warm her a little, seeing as the slightly bitter draft that was already creeping in from under her door was beginning to give her chills.
She turned on the shower and hot steam rose to cloud up her mirror as Jay sat on the side of her bathtub wrapped snuggly in her dressing gown. She stared back at her misted reflection, the blue of her eyes clear despite the distortion. Where would this day take her, she wondered. Would she meet anyone of any interest? Jay was hardly new to moving, but this time it was all on her own with no parents to mollycoddle her. It would certainly be exciting, she decided, to live in such a beautiful building as the Mille-Feuille Academy! And the prospectus looked wonderful too.
After her shower Jay felt light and refreshed, most of the previous feeling of apprehension lessening greatly and being replaced with fanciful thoughts of adventure and new horizons.
After getting dressed in a simple button down blouse and an olive green skirt with cream embroidery around the bottom edge, Jay opened her door and stepped out into the bright lightof the landing bathed in the morning sunshine. In her fuzzy state of mind she could detect hints of sugary golden syrup and fresh bread. She smiled.
‘Mamma must be baking again.’
