height , 5’4”
weight , 98lbs

best feature , Her large eyes
general , Caitlyn, at first glance, seems like a creepy Tim Burton character come to life, but her doll-like features and thin frame disarm just about anyone. She was once anorexic and has a history of reverting to not eating as a coping mechanism, which explains her unnaturally thin body, once having bones jutting out from her body. However, since recovery she has slightly softer yet elongated features and—though pale—a faint glow of health to her skin.
Her facial features are really something to be noted: her large eyes are unsettling and can seem to be staring right through a person: a striking yet disturbing feature. This, coupled with the pout of her lips, creates a somewhat childlike appearance. Her ratty hair, however, is a source of frustration with its inability to be properly styled.
Caitlyn has a broad taste in Lolita fashion, never settling for just one style. However, her most favorite style is the more over-the-top sweet Lolita, despite hardly fitting her appearance of a serious and creepy girl. On those days she is not inclined to dress up too much, she will sport something of the morigirl fashion; and on those days she is feeling more than a little experimental, she will wear dolly-kei to free herself of the constraints of Lolita. In short, she enjoys feminine styles reminiscent of times past and storybook decadence.

likes , OTT sweet, boys of the shy or charming kind, facial piercings (particularly lip piercings), femininity, coffee, vanilla, milk (greatly), wigs, dancing (ballroom), witty puns
dislikes , tea, her ratty hair, people with little to no manners, too many piercings, internet trolls, jokes of the sexual nature, bad puns
strengths , a level headed minded, convincing manner of speaking, sharp tongue, quiet passiveness
weaknesses , lack of bodily strength, a willingness to change for someone she might fancy herself in love with, quiet passiveness
fears , spiders, the dark, intimacy
quirks , she begins to twiddle her thumbs and shiver under pressure; and when excited or otherwise extremely happy, she also shivers
secrets , was anorexic and will at times revert to not eating as a coping mechanism, is very willing to change for someone if she fancies herself to be in love with them—this fact makes her very afraid of growing intimately close with someone
how , Caitlyn hardly remembers exactly how she came across Lolita: whether her friend introduced her to it after finding out about it on the internet, or the other way around. Either way, Caitlyn and her friend, Sarah, both grew to love Lolita together since seventh grade, both loving the princess-like feel of the clothing. Sarah had the funds to afford true brand clothing, whereas Caitlyn had to rely on her sewing skills to make equally beautiful clothing. Before Caitlyn was sent to Mille-feuille Academy, Sarah gave Caitlyn her entire Lolita wardrobe, having lost interest in it towards the end of ninth grade.
general , Caitlyn is, for the most part, a level-headed girl who knows when to leave a fight waiting to happen. She has those days when she has reached her peak and will, with a sharp tongue, tear her opponent down. Her words can be strong and cold like a knife tearing through skin, but she usually doesn’t have to come to that because for the most part she is a kind girl to those around her. There are certain kinds people she detests, but she can somewhat tolerate them and will try to improve their flaws as gently as possible when around them.
She is energetic and full of laughter around those she feels most comfortable with, and always tries to be kind to others. When not in the company of close friends, she will have a quieter yet benevolent presence for the sake of avoiding trouble. That is not to say that she has trouble making friends; she is outgoing enough without being rambunctious. She has little trouble approaching others that seem friendly and fun—she just does so in a mannerly, subtle fashion. But in the face of those that inspire awe in her, she is shy, like any other person would be around a crush or celebrity.

hometown , Celebration, Florida
family , Isabella, mother; Elizabeth, grandmother
pets , a gray cockatiel by the name of Lee
best memory , Any memories with her best friend, Sarah, especially when she gave Caitlyn her entire Lolita wardrobe
worst memory , When Caitlyn found out about her mother’s car accident and how she became paralyzed from the waist down as a result
history , Caitlyn’s history is relatively normal, save for a few rather important details. She grew up without a father; whether because he left the family, died, or she was conceived through a sperm donor, she didn’t really care to know and her mother never bothered with trying to tell her. Not having a father or knowing about his whereabouts (or lack thereof) never bothered her in the least. She was happy to grow up in an all-female household with her sweet-as-sugar mother and grandmother. Both are very domesticated yet independent women. Caitlyn’s grandmother is a retired nurse and is content with spending her days tidying up their quaint home to her liking as well as sewing, knitting, embroidering, and baking. Caitlyn’s mother is a nurse—or rather, was—who cared for many patients: she is a woman with a heart of gold. Caitlyn was, in short, raised in a very nurturing and do-it-yourself family, so she has grown to be a strong yet quiet and kind girl who is always ready to take on responsibilities.
In school, she had decent grades and there is really nothing else to say of the matter. She may have had her fair share of haters—as any girl would—but she isn’t really sure. Many children found her hard to approach with her creepy appearance and quiet demeanor, save her best friend Sarah. The two girls got along famously, and endured almost everything since third grade.
In seventh grade, the two girls came across Lolita and devoured the fashion and its aesthetics with excitement. Both became known as the local princesses and by this time Caitlyn most definitely knew about girls who were hateful towards Sarah and Caitlyn, but the two brushed it off. Sarah mostly wore brand—her favorite being Angelic Pretty—and Caitlyn wore homemade clothes and whatever loliable items she ever found, lacking the funds for brand. Caitlyn’s mother and grandmother adored Lolita, and encouraged her to dress that way always, providing Caitlyn with support.
In eighth grade, Caitlyn had body image issues, constantly comparing herself to the waifish girls she often saw in Lolita. It didn't help Sarah was stick thin, either. Even in mainstream, American media--especially in mainstream, American media--rail-thin, almost nonexistant women were depicted. This made Caitlyn feel inadequate, and she began to obsessively track her calories and keep her weight from going anywhere but down. It wasn't until the beginning of ninth grade that she reached a dangerous low of 59 lbs and had fainted in PE that she was hospitalized and diagnosed with anorexia nervosa. Once she was released from the hospital several weeks after, she maintained a healthy lifestyle but never managed to have her weight go above 100 lbs.
In the spring of 2010, Caitlyn’s mother was involved in a car accident. Fortunately, she survived, but her legs were mangled and she will never be able to walk again, paralyzed from the waist down. When Caitlyn found out about her mother’s accident in school, she was stricken with grief. She became severely depressed and lost her appetite. She seemed to have reverted to some of her habits from being anorexic as a coping mechanism and lost weight rapidly. By July, she barely weighed more than 60 lbs. Her supportive family and Sarah helped her recover before the school year began. However, she was still depressed, having a hard time wrapping her mind around the fact that her mother will never be able to walk again. Her depression alienated her even more from fellow students except Sarah. In late September, Caitlyn began rapidly losing weight again--probably from not eating as a coping mechanism. Her grandmother decided she needed a change of scenery and applied her to Mille-feuille Academy, hoping that an environment of like-minded individuals will help Caitlyn recover permanently. Meanwhile, her grandmother would try her hand at opening a bakery to pay for Caitlyn’s education and Caitlyn’s mother’s medical bills.
And as such, Caitlyn reluctantly agreed to go to the academy.

sample post ,Caitlin is awakened by the late morning light seeping through the blinds of her window and the sound of low whispers coming from the kitchen. Today was the day she will finally go to England, to Mille-feuille Academy. She was nervous, as any other person would feel about going to a different school in a different country. Then again, it's not every day that one has to undergo school transfers of such magnitude.
Caitlyn has already said good-bye to her teachers and fellow students, even if majority of those students were almost relieved that she was leaving. Not Sarah, though. Sarah stood in the classroom in her little shorts and layered blouses, her hair tucked into a gently curling blonde wig, hugging Caitlyn with all her might--she never wanted to let go of Caitlyn and Caitlyn never wanted to let go of Sarah. Caitlyn's eyes begin to tear up at the memory, and she wipes them away, pulling herself out of bed. She stands in the middle of her small and quaint room, thinking of how much she will miss the space. She looks at her empty wardrobe and smiles to herself. At least all my lolita clothes is coming with me. There was that to look forward to: being able to take a piece of home with her.
Caitlyn undresses and goes to the bathroom to brush her teeth. She looks at herself in the mirror and sees a thin girl. She pokes at herself, thinking of the hunger she lacks on this fine morning. However going to a different school will help her with her depression and eating disorder, she hasn't the faintest clue, but she hopes it works. She makes quick work of her dental hygiene and brushes through her ratty hair before going back to her room to dress herself.
Caitlyn dons her Jewelry Jelly dress, given to her by Sarah after she traded in lolita for gyaru. She fits her wig onto her head with quick and precise hands, and arranges an assortment of handmade accessories into the synthetic hair and applies her makeup. After pulling on her socks and shoes, she looks at herself in the mirror in her room (she never feels like she has enough mirrors), and deems herself presentable for a long flight. Now she feels ready, and with that confidence, she walks to the kitchen, tears held back, good-byes at the ready.
