general , It’s generally a tossup of what people will first notice about Miryo: her exquisite, doll-like face or that sweet aroma of cookies and sweets. After years of working in Colchester’s sweet shop and bakery, she simply cannot smell anything BUT sweet. She doesn’t particularly mind, though. Visually, one can tell she takes very good care of her appearance—her skin pale and flawless and not a hair or fold of cloth out of place (usually). Her large eyes often make her look younger and quite amiable. She always has a smile on her face, too. Despite her work, her hands are always soft and smooth, again due to care of herself.
It’s not hard to see that Miryo has a very slender frame, even though the general shapeless silhouette of mori-girl fashion was meant to give her body a little more “meat” to it. She loves the toned down, feminine look, though she also wears classic lolita and sometimes gothic for nights out. There is usually a pair of headphones strung around her neck, and it’s almost as if she has a million pairs with the way she is able to add them to her coordinates. The headphones are really the only accessory; she doesn’t wear very much simply for safety precautions and also prefers flats or low-heeled shoes over high heeled ones.
playby , Goo Hara

likes , Sweets, baking, cooking, dancing, gaming, pop music/anything she can dance to, musicals, fashion magazines, decorating, pampering herself
dislikes , Sitting still, budgeting, being without her iPhone, people who make a big fuss over nothing/Type A people, hypochondriacs
strengths , Loves her job and so does fairly good work, very loyal, persistence (also might be considered stubbornness), very amiable and willing to give people second chances
weaknesses , A bit flighty otherwise, generally tends to have a (harmless) personal agenda in things, loves gossip and drama and all that good stuff, extremely addicted to social networking and technology.
fears , Being alone, getting fat
quirks , She’s actually a bright student but for some reason is rather content with her job
secrets , None?
how , Like most, she found out about these fashions from others; some of her internet GuildWars buddies from about five years ago introduced her lolita at first, and she experimented a bit before finding her niche in gothic and classic. Mori girl, which she discovered on her own, appealed to her due to its simplicity but it still had a feminine touch. It was simply much easier to work in a bakery without having to wear a petticoat and worry about knocking things over.
general , personality. Bubbly and cheerful, Miryo enjoys being social, whether it’s in person, or chatting it up as she demolishing opponents in PvP. She is very chatty and loves sharing the latest gossip, even if it’s with someone she’s only met for a few minutes. She can be very flighty, though, allowing her to have a lot of acquaintances, but very few actual friends; this in turn makes her generally appear quite shallow and a bit airheaded. After all, she’s just some silly girl that works in a bakery, right?
She can be quite a good friend though. Extremely loyal and protective of her close loved ones, Miryo can either have a very big heart or be a terrible monster to those who get on her bad side. But the latter generally doesn’t tend to happen as she’s a bit soft-hearted and doesn’t mind giving people second chances. And thirds. And sometimes fourths. She is actually more likely to cheer up her friends, whether it’s taking them out somewhere or just sitting down and talking. Or stuffing them with sugary goodness.

hometown , Was born in Seoul, moved around a lot, but has lived in Colchester for a few years
family , mother, father, siblings? Was adopted by an American couple: Gary and Adele Fenrick; no siblings
pets , A 2 year old Corgi named Buster
best memory , Going to Penny Arcade Expo
worst memory , Breaking her ankle at a dance competition
history , Miryo was adopted when she was very young, so she has very little recollection of living in Korea; her adoptive parents both worked for the government with very cushy jobs that allowed them to work in different places and countries. Miryo didn’t mind; she loved it. However, around the age of ten, she was realizing that it was also extremely inconvenient if she wanted to keep the friends she had made. So she grew up around a lot of people, but she was always still a little lonely. She generally stayed at home and played games on her parents’ computers.
That is, until she discovered the internet and cellphones. All of this technology would make it possible to keep in touch with people! To an extent anyway. She had a cellphone by the time she was thirteen and already racking up the bills like mad with texting. By sixteen, she had a laptop all to herself, which allowed her to explore places like EGL, gaming forums, and online games themselves. Even then, it still wasn’t quite enough. There was something about talking to a person face to face that was refreshing and made her feel a little more human. She started going to lolita meetups in her local area, regardless of where that might have been.
She spent so much time trying to maintain friends that her parents were beginning to worry. During high school, she was rarely at home and if she was, she was glued to the screen. And so when she graduated from high school, they packed her up and moved her to Colchester, where they had a few colleagues from the Academy to keep an eye on her. She was forbid a computer, but allowed to have a smartphone to keep in touch with people from home. And to keep her busy, they set her up with a job at a bakery, which she has slowly learned to enjoy.

“Miryooooo!”
“Wait, wait!” There was a flurry of clicks and taps just behind the backroom door before a young girl popped out behind shop front. A slap-silly grin from ear to ear was plastered on her face. “Sorry, I was sending a—“
“Text message. To your mom, not that boy you’ve been playing games with. Yes, I know, Miryo,” said Teresa with a roll of her eyes, causing the girl to blush slightly. “You kids these days.” The older woman jerked a thumb to the boxes sitting on the counter. “Deliver these up to the Academy. It’s for their fall dance.”
Miryo’s eyes widened to the size of plates. “Whoa.” A quick mental count gave her about…twenty or twenty five boxes, and inside she knew all sorts of confections, pastries, and sweets were packed with the utmost care for presentation’s sake. It would be up to the dining staff at Mille-fueille to figure out how they were going to present them to the guests at the ball.
Miryo didn’t mind this job too much; since Mille-fueille was more or less out in the middle of nowhere, it let her mind wander a little, since unfortunately, the signal got shot all to hell between Colchester and the academy. And it was pretty much a straight shot so she didn’t have to worry too much about getting lost. She actually made a few “friends” at the academy, who she kept in touch with a lot, but didn’t get to meet too often. Her delivery routes were generally during the week, which meant they were all in classes, and she usually had to head straight back to help Teresa with the rest of the days’ orders.
It took Teresa and her nearly a half hour to load them into the delivery van, just to make sure nothing would fall or slide around. “Be quick, be safe,” Teresa said, giving Miryo a light peck on the cheek. As absentminded as she seemed, she was a good girl to have around.
The girl grinned. “I’ll be back soon, Teresa,” she said as she hopped into the driver’s seat.
