This is a handy dandy resource for references to terms and descriptions of different things that would come up in a class you are in. The purpose to this is to be an aid for you in making your role plays sound better and work more smoothly. This will be an ongoing work in progress. If there is an area you are good at, please contribute.
This post will be modified with a table of content and posting guidelines at a future time, which knowing my rate of follow through, will be in 2013.

Dancing Terms Unless specified otherwise, all dancing moves start with the lead's left foot or the follower's right foot. Unless both lead and follow are described, terms are described from the lead's perspective. The follow would be doing the opposite.
Foxtrot (crash course for Junko) Foxtrot tempo is Slow - Slow - Quick - Quick
Foxtrot uses classic closed position. Left hand is up in firm hold, right hand is on back. Strong leads require both dancers to keep arms being rigid. The lead must "push" to indicate the next set of steps to take.
Foxtrot steps are firm. As my teacher described: You are a proud peacock. As I like to describe it: imagine yourself wearing a corset.
Moves without descriptions are ones that I do not know yet, but you can feel free to google.
Basic Step. The basic move involves a forward step, a second forward step, step to the left, bring the foot up to rest with the left.
Promenade Basic. This move involves looking over the left shoulder stepping to the left with left foot, stepping to the left with right foot, stepping a shorter distance with the left foot but now looking forward, bringing right foot to meet up with left.
Closed Turning Basic. Lead steps forward with left foot. Leans back on right foot to shift weight. Steps left foot 90 degrees to the left. Brings right foot up to stand feet together.
Outside Turning Basic.
Left Ad-lib Turn. (I know this one but forgot what it is)
Right Ad-lib Turn.
Side Rock Ad-Lib. This is a two measure move to remain stationary when you can't move forward because of other dancers. You step left, bring your feet together. Wait. You step right, bring your feet together. This is one of the few Foxtrot positions that involving a measure where you start with your right foot.
Cross Body Lead Single Twinkle Triple Twinkle Spot Twinkle
Promenade Twist Turn. For the lead, this is the same except you raise your left hand to lead the follow into this move. For the follow, you are doing a twirl in which you spin around.

Fencing There are three types of weapons used in traditional fencing. There is the Foil, the Sabre, and the Epee.
The Ranking system in fencing goes U for Unclassed, to E## up to A##. The ## refers to the year you reached that rank. So if you were ranked C class in 2010, you would be C10. The ranking is based on the weapon you use. So a fencer could be ranked like the following:
A09 Foil C08 Sabre B11 Epee
