I'd recommend having a thread in the Rules and Information that indicates the current date and when in the school season we are. There is snow in your open thread but I'm not sure if I should be moving in or not. A post there with current information could be useful.

I actually left the season and time of the year open so there would be more opportunities for posting. I only indicate the year; it is up to the members to decide what time of the season it is in their post. It is generally accepted that the first person to start the post determines the time of year by describing the weather; but if there is no such description, it is up to the member replying to said post to determine the time.
However, if enough people would rather there be a concrete season, and perhaps a range of dates to determine the time for the site, I will certainly do so. Thanks for your suggestion!

Some people do like a level of continuity. Maybe we can use seasons as a general guide and decide that that school year goes Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall or something along those lines and not worry about further details?

I agree. We should at least have a season to work with. Makes it easier.

I think it doesn't matter so much about following an overall continuity, but what matters is that we have a basic timeline of when we can open RP scenes. People could jump around, so long as they are clear in the start of the post when in that timeline it takes place.
So, for example, if there is a big Yule Party, you know it happened before that.

Okay, I understand that. Would you two mind if I put it in the Statistics section of the sidebar, under Site Time? Should we begin with Fall, at the beginning of the new year?

That would look good there and the Falls is fine. One request, make it have there be an early snowfall so that our scene makes since for being in the Fall. I didn't think that through too much when I wrote my reply to you.

Sounds good. :3 It's okay, early snows happen all the time. It works.

Is there any way to limit how big a picture is in someone's sig? Some people have huge pictures in their signatures, and it's quite irritating when it's taking up half the page. It's also extremely labor-intensive for people with slower internet connections.

We can look into this, but in the meantime, if you go into Profile and select Modify Profile, you'll find there is an option for "Show Signature". Change this to no and you won't see them at all.
