What do all of the tags at the begining of the threads mean? I've seen some say [OPEN] or [RESERVED] and [CLOSED].

What do all of the tags at the begining of the threads mean? I've seen some say [OPEN] or [RESERVED] and [CLOSED]. [OPEN] - This is a thread open to the public. Anyone is allowed to jump in and participate. [RESERVED] - This thread is restricted to a couple of pre-select people. This might be a dorm room only thread or a private thread between two or three people. [CLOSED] - This thread is no longer open and is at an end. [LIMITED] - This is like a [RESERVED], except that it is limited to a certain number of people or might be restricted based on circumstances. You should check the post to find out how it is limited. It should be outlined at the start of the post. [SPECIAL] - This is a Moderator controlled thread. When these come into play, there are special restrictions for participation. There will be a disclaimer at the beginning about who can participate in the thread and what those expectations are. These will often have a timeline that is controlled by a moderator and as such, it is important you do not time skip or God mode in this thread.

How exactly does one go about making a reserved thread?

Honestly, the hardest part about making a reserved post is figuring out what to call the thread and still have room for [res] or [reserved].
If you have an RP with someone that you want to put into play that others can't join, you just create the post. It is recommend that at the very beginning of the post, you make it clear who is allowed to join in. Is it, for example, a dorm room only discussion, or is it restricted to you and a friend?
It helps to arrange these in advance through PM or through the cBox program. If this is a spin off of another thread, create the new thread and post a link in the old thread letting them know where to go. This final trick makes it easier for lurkers to follow along keep up with the story.

This is a little bit of a practical question:
When do role players usually come online? When do you find is the most popular time?

This is a little bit of a practical question: When do role players usually come online? When do you find is the most popular time? Well, that question is a little hard to answer just because we have so many members from lots of different time zones. But on weekdays, you'll see most people after school/work, so around 5:00-6:00 Eastern Time is where people will start popping on. We drop off later on in the night, but mostly we are here when we have free time. :3

Another noobish question:
How do I create another character? Do I still use the same login in name?

Hey, Charlie,
Each character should have its own account. :3
